Empowered Childbirth.com was created out of a deep and abiding love for women, men, children and the sacred healing powers of childbirth. Here, we share our experiences with each other in hopes of restoring our faith in our own birthing power and encouraging our sisters to restore theirs.
We have big hopes for this community of empowered women and men but we are nothing without our visitors .

We're not big believers in dogma around here. Our mission is two-fold:
Encouraging women to teach others about childbirth options.
and
Encouraging families to make empowering choices that encourage trust and honesty between all family members.

After 3 birth center births with midwives, I heard the call to midwifery and began my studies online while raising my three unschooled children. When my sister began looking into a home birth I saw my chance to "get my feet wet" and began researching unassisted birthing. What I learned changed my life, my calling and my family forever.
I learned about wild, free, uninhibited, natural, REAL birth, the kind that takes place away from the mistrust and fear generated by our popular culture. I learned that birth is as safe as life gets. My sister had a beautiful birth and I've been hooked on empowered birthing ever since.
My first birth web site, Birth in Love, is no longer online as my heart and hands are here now.
