What 'Empowered Childbirth' means to me
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
It means trusting my support team and feeling safe in my birthing environment. It means connecting to my baby and my body on new and surprising levels. It means my child gets the best possible birth I am able to provide hir.

The birthing experience is something that leaves a permanent print on a woman's soul I think it is important to be surrounded only by people who love you and whom you love. Anyone who really loves you and causes you stress should understand (ideally) to not interfere at a time like this. I also think there is a relationship changing experience occurring here between partners. Ideally with a deepening of love between partners but I can see where this could put stones that build walls between partners if not done through love and respect. Most of all I believe that babies should be treated with the most love and respect from the beginning and it is our challenge to open ourselves to feeling and hearing their needs and requests and seeing that these are met in the most gentle and loving manner possible.

Well for me it is holding a space of pure love and light for my upcoming birth, it means that I only invite people and circumstances into it that are in agreement with that space. To Birth in love is to be an open channel for the pure love of spirit to manifest into the pure light of physicality.
