You will. I'll pretty much guarantee you that you're going to leak fluids, curse, break wind, vomit, strip naked, howl, poop and/or cry during labor. We all do.
Birth is an intimate, private moment. You really shouldn't plan for a huge party of a birth unless you're the kind of person who doesn't mind doing the above activities in front of others. Having some loving hands around to fetch you towels, hold your hair back, rub whatever needs rubbing is wonderful but your birth team (and you) should be prepared for some serious body fluids. People who don't see that as normal and desirable may detract from the strength of your birth team.
You probably won't feel very embarrassed during labor, birth is too primal a state of mind for much self-awareness. You can certainly feel inhibited though. Wondering if it's "OK" to go to the bathroom (or not), dance, cry or make out with your partner when you feel the urge is a common experience for women who labor under the watchful eyes of a doctor, midwife or even a doula or best friend. If you wouldn't invite the person over to watch you having sex, you probably won't feel 100% comfortable having them there for your birth either.
Then again, maybe you would... Every birth, every woman, every family is different. Only you can know what is right for you.
