E-mail support lists

Last Updated: February 2009

~*~   ~*~   ~*~

There are quite a few childbirth e-mail lists out there. There are only a few that will support a woman's desire to become her own birth expert.

Here are a few of the more active ones...

~*~    ~*~ ~*~

EmpoweredChildbirth ~ All are welcome here, though an intro letter is now required before members are added to the group. Along with the typical discussions of pregnancy, birth options and parenting we also explore the larger issues of shifting paradigms regarding Birth, Sex, Contraception, Womyn, Relationships, Mothering, Fathering and more. Come check us out.

UnaBirth ~ A small unassisted birth list for moms and dads. A good choice if you're interested in exploring freebirthing and only have time for one, small list in your life.

UBAC ~ For women who've birthed surgically in the past and are thinking about freebirthing in the future.

E Birth ~ "Geared toward Unassisted Childbirth" but less strict on the definition than some UC lists.

Unasssisted Childbirth ~ The "Bornfree!" group.

Unassisted Childbirth Reading ~ Join us in reading and discussing a different book together every two months.

By Region:

UnaBirth ~ Canadians can have some unique legal situations to address. This list will explore them as well as the standard freebirthing questions.

CanadianUC ~ Providing resources and information to families exploring and planning a UC birth in Canada.

Freebirth UK ~ A new "support group for people in the UK who are interested in or considering unassisted pregnancy and/or childbirth."

MilitaryUC ~ For military families dealing with freebirthing issues. (Currently inactive but the archives might prove useful)

TTC lists:

TTC_Naturally ~ Freeing yourself from the medical establishment can be harder for those having difficulty conceiving. This friendly list is geared for families who are trying to conceive (TTC) without or with limited medical assistance.
